How to Fix SMTP 4.7.0 Relay Access Denied

There are a few things you can try to fix the “SMTP 4.7.0 relay access denied” error:

  1. Make sure you’re using the correct username and password to authenticate with the SMTP server.
  2. Check that your email client is configured to use the correct SMTP server.
  3. Check that your email server is configured to allow relay access for your email client.
  4. If you’re using an email client on a mobile device, make sure that the mobile device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network.
  5. If you’re using a web-based email client, try accessing it from a different browser or device.
  6. If you’re still experiencing issues, simply run these four commands in your terminal logged in as root:-
    /etc/init.d/saslauthd restart
    
    /etc/init.d/postfix restart
    
    sudo service apache2 restart
    
    /etc/init.d/php7.4-fpm restart
